The teacher can see and hear each attending student, and may even give the students the ability to take control and manipulate what is displayed on the main screen! Not only are the students able to collaborate in a group setting from the comfort of their own homes, but they are also introduced to a technological model being increasingly utilized in institutions of advanced learning across America. Google Hangouts also allows the teacher to share his or her screen, and attending students are able to see everything the teacher presents on their own screen in live time. No doubt this is one versatile multi-touch board that enhances the student engagement within classrooms and encourages more effective and enjoyable lessons for both teachers and students. When students log in to their classroom session, they see and hear their teacher and peers as if they were in the same room. The frequently used function buttons are housed on Hitachi 89WE2 interactive whiteboard which are quite user-friendly and easy to operate. Along with our interactive touchscreen and Hitachi Starboard software, we utilize Google Hangouts telecommunication software, an advanced webcam, and a studio-recording quality microphone. At ICEC, we are also able to deliver group distance learning classes to students in multiple locations. With our distance-learning model, teachers are able to connect with students and deliver lessons to the same caliber as in-person courses. One-on-one distance classes are delivered via Skype. Students enrolled in classes at our Los Angles learning center have the opportunity to directly engage with lesson content as ICEC interactive classes cater to a variety of learning styles.
Each ICEC class integrates a combination of images, videos, sounds, games, and interactive activities designed to capture our students’ imaginations as we guide them through their academic courses. Our Los Angeles office features a 70″ interactive touch screen equipped with Hitachi Starboard software.
